BECOMING A MEMBER
The British Lebanese Business Group (BLBG) promotes business links between British and Lebanese organizations, enterprises and entrepreneurs for the mutual benefit of both countries through its commitment to regular meetings, guest speakers, communications and liaison with the British Embassy.
The May BLBG meeting in 2014 is in our usual location the Radisson Blu Martinez on Thursday 15th May, starting at the usual time of 6:30pm
In spite of the dramatic growth in UK exports to Lebanon, trade barriers continue to exist. Richard Collyer, not least from experience with Crown Agents and British Standards Institution (BSi) International training division where he was deputy director, knows how to persuade, cajole and push. The British Red Cross, the French National Standard Body in Russia and now the European Union in Lebanon have employed his skills.
Richard will discuss what our friends in the European Union are doing to overcome trade barriers here and talk about other related EU projects in Lebanon.
As always a contribution is needed from all to cover the costs of the meeting for which a receipt will be given by the hotel staff on request.
RSVP either via Linked In/Facebook or by email to Maguy Philippe
We look forward to a lively and interesting evening.
